Crystal Reports XI R2 to Crystal Reports for Enterprise using BIAR file

Hi,

Is it possible to extract the Crystal reports XI R2 files and move to BO 4.0 SP5 Crystal reports for Enterprise(or Crystal Reports 2011) using BIAR file? If so, will there be any issues?

Hi Justin,

Yes you can import a BIAR file created in XI R2 using the Upgrade Management Tool in BI 4.0.

This will only convert CR XI R2 reports to CR 2011. To convert the reports to Crystal Reports for Enterprise format, open each report in CR for Enterprise and 'change their datasources' to a .Unx Universe or a Relational Connection.
