Unable to Connect to Repositories

Hi Experts,

I am using MDM 7.1 version(build version 7.1.09.286) with ORACLE database. I was able to connect to repository previously and all of a sudden unable to connect to any of  the repositories with different users. I getting error  "repository connect fail Error:invalid object state".(Attached screenshot). Please suggest me the solution If anyone faced same problem

I have referred the forums and based on the inputs, performed below activities, but still problem exists.

  1. Reset the Database password
  2. Restart Database server
  3. Restart MDM server
  4. Mount the MDM Server
  5. Load the Repository.

Please advise

Regards

Sunil

    Hi Sunil,

Can you try to verify or check the repository. Once it is done, you can check for detailed error in MDS logs.
    Let me know the outcome.

    Thanks,
    Manisha

    Hi Sunil,

Can you try unmounting and remounting the MDM repositories and retry the connection?

    Regards

    Tal

    Hello Sunil,

Archive the repository, delete the respective repository and un-archive it, and then try to mount the repository.

If this still doesn't solve the issue, check if any update was done on the server or any new security patch level updates were done on the server,

Try to PING the server from the machine. check if you able to connect to the FTP location for the archive folder.

Let us know the results, so further analysis can be performed.

    Regards,

    Abhishek

    Hi Sunil,

This could occur due to some disturbance/ loss or inconsistency in the MDM- DB connection.

MDS Log would be a handy tool to find the exact error. As the restart of the DB server and MDM server did not help you, check and set the oracle parameters as suggested by SAP in the note: 830576. It may be helpful.

    Let us know your findings.

    regards

    mohan
