Hello All,
I'm unable to do a "Quick PAR Upload" from NWDS even though I'm able to use the same user-id and password log into the portal. I can use a different user-id password combination with the same setting to deploy.Any ideas?
Thanks
What are the roles assigned to each of the two users you have tried?
What is the error message?

Patrick

Hi Patrick,
I have similar roles assigned to both users including super admin roles and NW_Central role. The log file gives the following information
Guest | LOGIN.ERROR | NONE = null | | Login Method=[default], UserID=[null], IP Address=[127.0.0.1], Reason=[Access Denied.]
and sometimes even
Guest | LOGIN.ERROR | NONE = null | | Login Method=[default], UserID=[valid_username_in_my_portal], IP Address=[127.0.0.1], Reason=[Access Denied.]
Does it have something to do with the permission setting inside the portal?
Thanks
I'm getting the same error. However, I am able to deploy with some user id's and not with others. It seems that a user must be an Administrator on the portal to do a quick .par upload. Does anyone know if this is the case? It also seems like .par upload does not go through the SDM as is the case with Web Dynpro apps and J2EE apps. Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Matt
Yes you must be a member of the System Administrator group. I don't think that you have to be a member of the administrator group. The Administrator group is used for J2EE administration. A par upload basically uses the import functionality found under the system adminstration tab. A par doesn't go through SDM.
