Dear friends,
In VK11, can we make the validity of Supplementary condition other than the validity of main condition? If not then why not?
Thanks.
Hi Friend,
For Example, I had maintained one condition record for below material and validity date is as shown below.
Now If you try to change the validity date for condition supplementary, then system would automatically change the main screen validity date. So it is not possible to maintained the separate validity date for condition supplementary.
Hope this will help you.

Kundan

Hi R Sgr,
Why do you want to maintain seperate validity periods for Supplementary conditions. Supplementary conditions always follows with Main condition.Hope you can't use only supplementary conditions without main condition. When main condition is used with the validity period which also applies to supplementary conditions.
let me know the exact requirement.

Dear Murthy,
Scenario for separate validity period of Supplementary Condition is very common. Examples are:
1. As introductory offer 5% in-built discount is being offered with PR00. But after some months say e.g. 3 months we need to stop that discount.
2. VAT condition type is existing in pricing procedure. It is there say e.g. from April 2000. But in 2013 an additional tax is being levied on VAT. This additional tax will be levied ONLY if VAT is applicable not alone. So it can be made as supplementary condition. But in 2016 it gets stopped. So we should be able to stop the validity of additional VAT in VAT condition.
Hope it is clear. Pl suggest now.
Thanks.
Hi,
You cannot have different validity period for a supplementary condition as main condition or the principal/main condition is associated with it. However in the scenarios you mentioned If you don't want a discount to be given, set deletion indicator for the supplementary condition else if you want a new condition to be added just add the new condition as required. Hope this explains.
