Hi,

Can anybody help me compare SAPUI5, FPM WDA and Sencha Touch?

I am looking for the comparison which can highlight the key differences and limitation amongst each.

Thanks,

Atul

hi,

  • SAP UI5

1.  directly connects to SAP NW Gateway  without mobile platform.

2. . It is based on jQuery and can be extended using custom-written or 3rd party UI control libraries

3. sap ui5 is our standards-based HTML5 control library. It supports not only mobile devices running e.g. Android or iOS, smartphones or tablets, but also all major desktop browsers. It comes with a rich set of fully customizable UI controls, from simple buttons to complex dynamic layout containers or charts for analytical data

  • WDA

Web Dynpro for ABAP or Web Dynpro for ABAP (WD4A, WDA) is the SAP standard UI technology for developing Web applications in the ABAP environment.

  • FPM

Floorplan Manager (FPM) is a Web Dynpro ABAP application that provides a framework for developing new Web Dynpro ABAP application interfaces consistent with SAP UI guidelines (Standard definition from SAP doc). You can use the Floorplan Manager Configuration editor to combine application-specific views of one or more business applications to a new FloorPlan Manager application. Floorplan manager supports creating and configuring applications with following floorplans

  • Object Instance Floorplan (OIF)
  • Guided Activity Floorplan (GAF)
  • Quality Activity Floorplan (QAF)

Using the FPM configuration editor following floorplan areas can be configured:

  • Identification Region (IDR)

  • SENCHA

On April 10th, SAP announced a partnership with Sencha (www.sencha.com) that has several goals.

The first goal was to deliver tools which make it easier for a Sencha Touch application to access SAP data using NetWeaver Gateway.

The second goal is to provide tools that allow a Sencha Touch application to more easily interact with data (whether it be data from SAP or some other data source) and services via the SAP Mobile Platform.
