regarding portal content display

Dear friends,

working with crm bi support project and right now want to replace role from 1 to another i.e. we have 2 roles like ZDEVELOPER,ZENDUSER

under Zdeveloper we have created 20 reports and all those reports got published in portal.

now i want to split some of the reports from zdeveloper to zenduser ...

what is the procedure? can i do it in PFCG?

i have copied 1 perticular report under zENDUSER but in portal am getting empty.

please help me to do this activity?

and one more thing is i didnt find PCD in my system ? Wheere i can access Portal Content Directory?

Actually you can reassign the authorizations from one Role to another in PFCG.

But after reassigning, you should generate profiles for both roles in PFCG.

Coming to your point, you can publish your queries from BEx Query Designer-->Publish-->roles

After assigning, generate both profiles in PFCG.

PCD should be activated in your Portal Administration. Then only, you can see it in BEx Query Designer-->Publish-->roles-->PCD

actually this is a support project and we took over from some other client which was implemented initially , so i am having doubt where Portal Content Directory will be available? whether i need to access Portal studio?  if yes where can i access that? even i have asked my basis consultant about Portal but he said dont know...

normally whenever i get requirement for new report creation i will be doing in PFCG and creating report name and report technical name saving then the report getting displayed but i now i want to work with portal Administration where can i access that? .. so i am little  bit confused..

please clarify me suman..

Hi Anand,

Regarding portal link, you can check with your team mates or basis team or  EP team.

its like WWW link based on your client portal numbers and server info.

my concern is even me and my basis consultant not aware of portal administration and its access..

where can i request and how come previous client did without portal administration? and published the reports in portal? how do i get acess?

this is my portal contains all the reports,.

In the above mentioned template id where can i find that?

Have you checked the link which I posted in my last reply?

We can create web templates in WAD and create i-views in Portal to publish them in Portal. I think you have not checked my iview link also. Please check my links thoroughly

Hi Anand,

Portal reports build by using back end of WAD reports. for remplates you can search at WAD too.

WAD tool you can find the Start menu-->all programs-->Business explorer--> there you may see Web application designer.

If you guys don't have access then check with your Tl or PM or Supervisor or with SAP HR team.

i have checked templates in WAD itself.... but i didnt find

my question is how to and where to get access portal login?

portal content studio is missing i want to access right?

how do i access that? i mean without login into portal studio we cant publish reports right?

Hi Anand,

Portal configuration done by basis team itself.

They will directly give portal link,like this way

http://128.222.133.77:9000/sap/bw/BEx?XXXXXXXXXXx

once you click on that kind link, on next screen you may see logid and passwords options. if you have access then you can enter your sap credentials.

Portal: its not a tool. its weblink configuration. dony be network/basis team.

For this you need to get from your mates only. not on scn. this is not common to all companys. this portal link varies as per company configurations.

Hi Anand,

There is no portal studio kind. Actually thru wad we take bex as input and thru wad setting our report will appear in portal under respective folders.

Check the team who are related to supporting of netweaver portal/enterprise portal. From them you may get useful hints.
