Deployment options for Hana in BW environment

Hi ,

I have been asked by some one to tell what are are deployment options for hana in BW environment .

Can you please help me how to answer to this question.

Hi Manoj,

It's nothing but the different methods available to go for SAP BW on HANA.

We have 3 ways to do this.

1) Fresh BW 7.3 sps5 (min) on SAP HANA -- production down time is not required -- easy method

2) Up gradation and migration of existing BW production system -- complex one and requires downtime of production system.

3) System copy of production BW system and migrate it to BW on HANA -- most popular one and requires less production system downtime.

There are three options available for you when you wan to move to BW on HANA:

1. Fresh Installation of BW on HANA

2. In Place migration - System copy with BW on HANA

3. System copy, Upgrade and Migrate to BW on HANA
