Employee search in MSS for a US manager brings back Japanese direct reports' last name in Romaji.

It must be a query somewhere pulling the Romaji field.  Can someone please tell me the exact query?

Thanks.

Hi Gant, thanks for pointing out the correct path.

Hi Leo, our US chief is seeing Japanese direct reports' names in Romaji, which currently stores Japense characters.

Under IMG: Integration with Other
mySAP.com Components > Business Packages / Functional Packages > Manager
Self-Service (mySAP ERP) > Object and Data Provider > Data Provider > Define Columns.  Column TMV_EE_NAME runs on FM HRWPC_CB_NAME which pulls name based on Molga, my guess, from employee data.  I am undecided on path forward yet.

if i were you there are two ways to decide on what to do:

1. get a techie and debug the application to pin point what is causing this issue. there is a way to do it trust me,... I knew it ince but now I forgot,... it could eithe rbe a data issue ir it could be a problem with sap st oadp.

2. if it is a data issue --> simple fix it.

3. if not, replicate the problem in your test environment,.. get sap to fix it. I am assuming it is a data issue as oadp by sap is a pretty mature application and is stable,.... but then again I dont know your sap system right?

cheers

We decided to blank out the Romaji last name and Romaji first name under "personal data" section.  We will store Japanese characters in Romaji field under "Koseki" section.  The other way to store Japanese names is IT0182.

Hi Qiong, it is not clarified. Can you please specify it, in more details?
