Queries not replicated in the target sys though TR is succesfully transported

Hi BIans,

I am facing 1 typical issue in the transport management scenario.

1st issue : The queries are trasnported from source to target sys. And the transports were successful at both the ends with no errors and warnings. But i found that 2 versions are present for a query in the target sys with same Tech names and UID's. why is this behaviour?

2nd issue : Even after succesful transports, query changes are not replicated properly in target server. Whats the reason behind this? And is there any other turn around procedure rather than collecting and tranpsorting again?.

Note : Both issues are for different queries.

Thanks,

Shreya J

HI,

Have you selected "overwrite the originals" option while importing in target system?

Just re-import the same TR again with overwrite.

If it doesn't work, you need to collect them freshly in Dev and move them.

Note : Do not collect too many queries in a single TR.

Work around : You can delete all the queries (which have duplicate versions) in RSZDELETE t-code in one shot

Hi Suman,

Thanks for your reply.

I shall try out the soluntion provided by you.

But am unable to find "Overwrite the originals" option?

Could u plz assist me?

And does it mean that, whenever we're transporting TR's , it is recommdended to use this option??

thanks,

It's always better to use this option.

Hi Shreya,

once you released transport request in source side, while importing at target side there are import options. in that we we will get overwrite options.

please check below link.
