data view issue in dp

Hi,

Experts,

Does anyone have any idea how to rename the Data view.

say for example

data view - MONTHS

description is - MONTHS DV

Now i want to make this as below

data view - WEEKS

description is - WEEKS DV

instead of creating a new data view 'Weeks' and I want to use of months one as weeks. no more uses MONTHS data view further.

any idea?

There are plenty of MONTHS data views no more in future and business wants to use WEEKS data view  only.

any idea how to change From MONTHS to WEEKS instead of creating a macros and minimize the work.

Let me know if you need any information on it.

Thanks,

Hello Sumanth,

As mentioned by Ada you can change the data view description in the transaction  /sapapo/sdp8b. You can even create a new dataview with name week and giving reference as your old data view and change the planning buckets from month to weeks.

Thanks,

Diana

Hello,

I think you can acheive this by changing "Data View description" filed for the data view description, and the planning bucket profiles (from monthly to weekly) for the buckets displayed on the data view, in transaction /sapapo/sdp8b. Data in data view is just a presentation of liveCache data, so you can change the settings in /sapapo/sdp8b freely.

Best Regards,

Ada

Hi

Thanks for your information.

I do not want to just change the months dv desction to weeks description.

I want to change Months dv to weeks dv and not the just description.

Hello Sumanth,

In order to Change the month data view to week data view. The first check you have to do is whether in storage bucket profile (/n/SAPAPO/TR32.) the periodicity has been maintained or not (i.e week in this case). If the periodicities is maintained then you need to create time bucket profiles or planning bucket profile using T code  /n/SAPAPO/TR30. You can also check out more about planning bucket profilein http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm70/helpdata/en/17/a5214a32a111d398260000e8a49608/content.htm?frameset...

Once the time bucket profile has been created  you need to change the TB profile in the change planning book view Tcode :  /sapapo/sdp8b.

Thanks,

Diana

Hi,  I think I have already mentioned chaning planning bucket profile to weekly in /sapapo/sdp8b, which should be the right way to acheive your requirement instead of creating a new data view.

To be honest, I feel it's strange that someone just copies your reply and get a 'correct answer' mark
