Condition ZXXX cannot be deleted

I am unable to delete Condition ZIB1 in header of a PO. Error message is "Condition ZIB1 cannot be deleted". I have checked transaction M/06, Delete indicator is already ticked.

In some line items, GR has already been issued, could this be the cause of the error message? Are there any additional checks I could make?

Thanks a lot!

Dear KD,

The behaviour you getting is correct to avoid inconsistency.

Delivery costs conditions should not be changed once goods receipt is done for a purchase order item. For this reason once a goods receipt is done, the delivery costs conditions are marked as fixed.

Once you have GR, then this condition should not allow to delete or even change as this will bring you

to inconsistency.

There is no setting for this to allow you change it as it is intended.

Hi,

Are you sure about your process and are you sure-your business will follow the same?

Purchase order considered as committed purchasing document and once purchase order released, the purchase order will be with vendor with all purchasing conditions with which vendor supply material or provide service.

In your case -Purchase order (committed purchasing document) already goods receipt completed for some items and now-why do want to delete any price component related to any one item?

If price differs(in any case) WRT purchase order with purchase order item from vendor - you have an option to carry out subsequent credit/debit in t.code: MIRO.

You cannot delete a Delivery cost condition once Purchase order history is updated (say GR happened / Canceled).

Hi,

Your assumption is correct. If the GR is already done and the accounting doc is posted, the system wont allow you to delete the condition from PO.

Hope its helpful.
