SAP ECC6 EHP6 on High availablity

Hi Experts,

i am trying to install Ecc6 Ehp6 on HA system. in the document it is asking to install Primary Application Server Instance and Additional Application Server Instance . but i could not find such option in SWPM

 

SWPM using to install was 70SWPM10SP02_1-20009707.sar

As per installation guide these are the component:

So:

ASCS --> Fisrt Cluster node

For your question in general:

Primary AS --> Central Instance

Additional AS --> Dialog Instance

Hi Anil,

There are "more options" of HA -setup which you can choose of.

After you decide which one, the you can proceed with installation.

One of the option you mentioned in your question: "asking to install Primary Application Server Instance and Additional Application Server Instance", is that you can install an "Extra Dialog Instance" within your Primary-Cluster, which is available on your list. This is as opposed to what Graham Slater mentioned, installing on the Secondary-Cluster.

Kindly follow the below steps and refer the installation guide

1. Central services instance for ABAP installation. on the Cluster Virtual System name

2 Central services instance for JAVA installation. on the Cluster Virtual System name

3 First MSCS node installation

4 Database Instance  Installation using backup restore method

5 Additional MSCS node installation

6  Enqueue replication server installation for ABAP in Node I

7  Enqueue replication server installation for JAVA in Node I

8  Enqueue replication server installation for ABAP in Node II

9  Enqueue replication server installation for JAVA in Node II

10 Central Instance Installation in Node I

11 Second node installation as per the installation guide

12 Post processing steps after system copy

Hi Anil,

You need to  look in the document for the HA section.  You are refering to Primary application server and secondary servers (application servers).

On the picture you have included, you are going to install "First cluster node" and later "Second cluster node".  But do please read the installation guide thoroughly before you start.
