Client says that they want the delivery cycle for a raw material should be from Friday to Thursday and delivery date should be Tuesday of next week.

  1. I.e. - there are two requirements for a raw material, one on 15-July-2013 for 100 QTY and another on 22-July-2013 for 100 Qty. The system should club the Requirement raised from 12-July-2013 to 18-July-2013 and should deliver it on 16-July-2013. Similarly it should club the requirement raised from 19-July-2013 to 25-July-2013 and deliver the material on 23-July-2013.

I have two planing calnedar ZA1 and ZA2.

ZA1 as Weekly with tuesday as week day

ZA2 as Weekly with firday as week day

Lot ise ZW with following settings.

period as 1

Scheduling= Period start := delivery date and

Lot-sizing procedure P Period lot-sizing procedure

Lot-size indicator   K Period lot size as in PPC planning calen

Dear Animesh,

First of all, I know it may not be practical to have the GR time as you want, because it may vary from material to material.

Please test the scenario:

1. Define Calendar periods from Friday to next Thursday (use calculation rule Week (Weekdays)).

I have maintained from 01.01.2012 to 31.12.2020:

2. In the Lot size, maintain scheduling as Period End := Delivery date:

3. In the material master, maintain GR processing time as 2 Days.

4. Run MRP and test the results.

System will now make Thursday (End of period) as the available date, and since you have maintained 2 days' GR processing time, the Delivery date will be Tuesday.

Please test and get back.

Best Regards,

Rajen

Dear,

You neeed to have only one planning calendar in this case as you want to have delivery date every Tuesday of next week. Apart from that you can have only one planning calendar for a material which we assign in MRP 2 view.

Now go to MD26 select Planning calendar ZA1 and ur plant and click on enter in next screen click on change calculation rule select Weekdays enter Calculation start date today's date please refer below setting and then generate the period and save it.

Then check the period and adjust as per your requirement if required and fixed the period and save it.

Just test the same and come back.

Hi

I did something similar to you with this settings in transaction OMI4 (try something similar to this)

Check your settings in material master in delivery cycle and planning cycle. Delete requirements and run MRP again.

I hope this helps you
