Drilling in Webi (Bypass drilling)

Please let me know if there have any possibility in webi to drill from 1st level to 3rd/4th level(bypass).

Hi Kumar,

Use Drill By option to skip intermediate levels(1st to 3rd or 4th) while performing Drill action.

Thank you for the comments.

I had checked by Drill By, but if we need to enable this drill by with all hierarchy level, have to manage the scope of analysis(custom level).

Observed, in this case(scope) need to use all the objects in Result Objects pane and the SQL Script will be generated with all these relations.

But here, client doesn't want to see the result with all these relationship(joins). So trying to figure out something apart from DRILL option. Tried Drillfilter(), but not meeting the requirement.

Hi,

Managed this requirement by making the joins as OUTER JOIN in universe level and added the required dimensions in scope. Based on this, in report level, using drill by to other required levels. The result in report level gives the same as expected.

Hi ,

Create another hierarchy for this requirement .For example-

If you have one hierarchy A->B->C->D->E

Then create another hierarchy in universe

A->D

OR

A->E

Then while selection you will get the both option.

Thanks for the reply.

If multiple hierarchies have created then it will ask to the user to select the required hierarchy in report level(if a class/object included in multiple hierarchy). User doesn't want to see that message window.

The requirement is just like this(below). From A to any level, if you have selected from A to D then there should not be any relation in the query with B and C. This might not be possible with BO universe hierarchy, so need to check if there have any other alternatives.
