we are in the blueprinting phase and iam stuck in preparation for a logical query from the client.
they (demand planners) currently work in excel based tool and work on the corrected history.
they use different models to run the forecast and te result gets stored in the tool.
after this is done the planners compare the results with respect to the forecast errors and select the best filt mode amd go ahead with that forecasting model.
I know forecasting versions can be used but iam not sure about the steps used to perform these steps in APO DP..
Meaning -
How to store the forecast results against the models used ? Where can we see it ?
Do I have to run each forecast model ? This will be a tedious process though.
How to COMPARE the forecast errors through Forecast comparison ( i can see the errors against version ) ? But how to read them and select the best fit ?
