Yes.. assign a workcenter to each operation.  Group the MIC's into the two operations as appropriate.  Give security to the one workcenter of user ID A and security to the other workcenter to user ID B.

Hi FF,

There are so much master data is already created. This process is not acceptable for our client.

Please suggest me another solution....

I'm not sure what additional master data is required.

You create two work centers and add these to your plan.  Your inspection plan and mics have to already exist.  Creating the work centers should be a one time thing.  As is the security setup.  Once these are done, you don't do them again.  When you create new plans you just assign the appropriate work center.

Yes.. QM is master data intensive.  Always has been and always will be.  Especially when you start to want special features such as your client wanting to restrict users to certain MIC's.  I'm sure if you had this capability previously in another type of system, it was just as master data intensive.  But it was setup and modified over several years so folks didn't notice it was much.  Now in a new system, they see it all at once in the initial setup.

Hi,

The best option is to create 2 work centers and group MIC in it as suggested by FF and Rajen.

Even if you go for any work around you need to change data in SAP.

For example in MIC (QS23) you have authorization group. Create 2 authorization groups and assign

to appropriate MICs. In results recording user exit you have to write a code to hide the MICs

depending on the user ID used. This is a lengthy process and you have to involve ABAP consultant.

Dear Rahul,

Is there a possibility of grouping the MICs in separate operations so that the users can access the Result recording operation wise?
