For Delta Datasource, delta records are not appearing in RSA7

Hi,

I've converted a Datasource, from SAP ERP, from Full upload to Delta upload and replicated the same in BW system.

FYI:

Then I've initialized new delta by creating a new infopackage and fired the init infopackage. On doing the same, delta queue gets created in RSA7.

Then I've created a delta infopackage.

But I could not find any records pulling into RSA7 when ever I insert any new records to it's custom table.

Do I need to do any activity for making the data available in RSA7? Request you to please suggest and help me on this.

Regards,

Antony Jerald.

    Hi Antony,

    Every thing perfect.

As per the safety upper limit 1, you will get delta records ERDAT <= July 12 2013(today is july 13) only.

Today enter records you will capture on next day delta only. Because of that Safety upper limit only.

Please check last paragraph under "calendar day".

Calender day delta: run only once in a day. always we need to run delta at end of business hours or next day early hours.

safety upper limit: 1 means delta will load records upto yesterday only.what ever records created yester day below 11.59PM.

Today created records will capture on next delta only.

    Thanks

    Hi Antony,

Can u confirm whether there is any issue in your delta extraction? RSA7 is not a correct indicator of no of records in delta queue, with your data source delta enabled it is shown in RSA7 queue so that is fine. as mentioned in above answer with your setting you can get data for 1 day before till the time of extraction hence you should have overwrite functionality in your DSO.else there can be record duplication issue in data warehouse.

    Thanks and regards

    Hi,

Are you using loading to cube directly from the datasource? It's not advisable to use upper limit unless you use cube directly. If you use DSO from the datasource, then you can use lower limit as 1 day. This will bring same delta records of yesterday and today's delta to make sure nothing is missed while loading to BW. Since we use DSO in this scenario, the repeated data will get overwritten in DSO.

Coming to your problem, you will get your delta tomorrow as you use upper limit.

    Suman

    • Hi,

I couldn't enable delta for this datasource. I don't have changed on field in the table and no chance of enhancing the table to bring such field.

The table holds data in such a way that User can create dealer and he will modify the table later on based on updates of dealer location/status.

I did enabled full upload by pulling 2 months of data every day. But it brings 9Lakhs records every day.

Is there a way to enable delta for such table?

      Regards,

    Hi Antony,

Please check your marker for cal day in RSA7 to check till which date data is loaded and next thing check created date or changed on date for your new records. If its older than 1 day then only it will come into your delta queue.

    Thanks,

    Kamal
