We are trying to define predefined properties (or metatags) for different CM repositories. Currently, we cannot figure out how to get specific properties to show up or be mandatory for the different repositories. All predefined properties are seen in all CM repositories.
Do you know how to define the predefine property so that it shows up, or is active, in only a specific CM repository?
Hi Cynthia,
you have to add your property to a property group.
Configuration ->
Content Management ->
Global Services ->
Property Structures ->
Property Groups
You could define a new property group in which all your own properties are located.
Add this property group in the general property group all_groups.
For more detail see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/2e6868c6ce72408d982213e314fda1/frameset.htm
Hope that helps.
Best Regards
Helge

Hi Cynthia,
You can do that. When you create a metadata you should define:
Folder Validity Patterns and if you want Document Validity Patterns.
For instance:
Document Validity Patterns: /etc/test/**
this metadata only apply on etc repository.
On this way, you can do that some properties are showed in some folders and not in all.

Don't forget to active
-
Application Property Service in your repository
(property service)

Hi Cynthia,
you do this by using the parameters "Document Validity Pattern" and "Folder Validity Patterns"
in your predefined properties definition.
The first Parameter is for all resources types the second one is for collections (folders).
As an example you would type "/documents/**" in this parameters.
Hope this helps,
Robert

Robert,
First, thanks for you reply.
I've tried what you've suggested and it doesn't seem to work. If I fill out the folder validity pattern, I don't see the metatag in any repository. If I fill out the Document validity pattern, I see the metatag in all repositories.
We are on NetWeaver04 SP12. Have you actually done this and had it work.
Cindy
