PA0171 and PA0377 relation

Hi all,

Qn1:

I am trying to figure out if there is a relation between these 2 infotypes or if there are any dependencies. Can anyone shed some light please?

PA0171 - General Benefits

PA0377 - Miscellaneous Plans

Qn2:

Are there any infotypes that depend on PA0171 generally?

Hi,

As Jim explained, IT0171-General Benefit Data controls which benefits and plans an individual is eligible for.  It contains the Benefit Area, First Program Grouping and Second Program Grouping.  With this information, table T5UBU defines which benefit plans in IT0167, 0168, 0169, 0177 an employee may have given the Benefit Area and Program Groupings.  Thus, directly there is no link between IT0171 and IT0377, but thru table T5UBU, the plan eligibility is determined.

Hi Harish,

For an employee to be eligible for Benefits,its starts with IT0171,which includes Benefit Area,Groupings...

Then only you will be able to maintain the any other benefits related infotypes like 167,168,377 etc....
