Dear sap techs,
we made a kernelupgrade from 7.11 to 7.21 EXT of our PI system. As a perquisite of this upgrade, we had to update the SAPJVM from 5.1.047 to 5.1.084 (made it with JSPM). After the kernelupgrade the system starts (dev_server0 contains status (Running)), but no http-page is displayed (e.g. systeminformation or nwa). After changing SAPJVM version back to 5.1.047 the http pages are accessible again. Now the system runns with kernel 7.21 ext and SAPJVM 5.1.047, but oss 1716826 "Usage of the downward compatible kernel 721 (EXT)" states:
"Release 7.10 or 7.11: When using the SAPJVM 5.1, you have to install the latest patch collection, at least PC 58 (Build 5.1.074).".
Systemdata:
SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NW PI 7.1
HP-UX ia64 11.31
ORACLE 11.2.0.3.0
All Java Softwarecomponents are on 7..11 Patch-level 4

Hi,
maybe my English is not good enough. I can’t logon to any application on JAVA. I don’t get any http page displayed! I get the following screen, when trying to open one:
Please excuse the screen is in German language. But I hope it helps to understand my problem.
In order to remind the problem.
I updated JAPJVM (5.1.047 to 5.1.084)
I updated kernel (7.11 to 7.21 EXT)
System starts without error
Entering http://xxxxxxxx:50000/nwa into explorer gets errormessage from explorer: “Can’t display webpage”.
After downgrading the SAPJVM to version 5.1.047 everything is ok! But this is no workaround, because oss 1716826 "Usage of the downward compatible kernel 721 (EXT)" states:
"Release 7.10 or 7.11: When using the SAPJVM 5.1, you have to install the latest patch collection, at least PC 58 (Build 5.1.074).".
http://xxxxxxxx:50000/index.html is the only page, I can display. All other pages produce the error message in the explorer.
Best regards
Willi Eimler

Hi Willi,
Last think that I can think off with the infomantion provided.
Please follow the below steps:
One needs to find out the process occupying Server Join Port 5<xx>20 and kill the process. For this, please execute below steps:
sap24:<sid>adm 385> netstat -an grep 50520
tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1.50520 <Some_IPAddress>.<Some_Port> ESTABLISHED <PID>
Or Simple step stop the sap system and get unix box restarted if you have this PI on the box alone.
If still issue. Sorry mate.
Thanks
Rishi Abrol

This entry points to Note 1625051 - Wily Introscope agent: IllegalAccessError.
But i never thought that the Wily could inflict this to the J2EE.

check you have followed correct fully qualified domain entries in profiles. check link using FQDN.
check all services are started on all server nodes -
check application console log in j2ee/* folder - it will show error while you hit page with error.

Vikas

Hi Viskar,
FQDN doesn't work too. What do you mean with the application console log? Do you mean the default-trace or the application log under j2ee/cluster/server0/log?
I checked both, but its difficult without logviewer or nwa. I attached the both files to this post. maybe you can identify s.th..
Please rename the txt to zip (The log-files are to big ).

To Rishi Abrol
Unix colleague said: “all patches of 1367498 are applied” And the SAPJVM was patched by JSPM as told in OSS1025085
The problem is not the start of the system. All processes are started without relevant error message.
The problem is that http-pages are not available.
E.G.
http://xxxxxxxx:50000/index.html can be displayed but,
the following pages can’t be displayed:
http://xxxxxxxx:50000/nwa/sysinfo or
http://xxxxxxxx.grtgroup.com:50000/dir/start/index.jsp

Hi ,
Can you please try to login in the user admin page with j2ee_admin and then in the same ie page enter the NWA url and hit enter.
Also try to access the NWA page from http://xxxxxxxx:50000/index.html page.
Can you also check j2ee_admin has proper access.
Thanks
Rishi Abrol
Hi ,
Please check that you have all the patches for the HPUX.
HP-UX operating system patches as outlined in SAP note 1367498
Can you also confirm that the JVM upgrade was done via SUM tool.
Please also check that java is not crashing.
Check this note.
1867764 - J2EE engine startup fails due to "could not reserve enough space for card marking array" error
Thanks

Hi,
I am sure you have done but please check if you have made changes in profile parameter too for new JVM .

Hello
What is the status of dispatcher, server and SDM in JCMON ?
Also provide the output of these two commands:
sapcontrol -nr 00 -function GetVersionInfo
sapcontrol -nr 00 -function GetProcessList
You will need to replace the 00 with the right system number.
