Pratibha,

I use GuiXT almost exclusively any more. GuiXT has been part of SAP since about 98' and the latest version of the basic process is Q 3 3, which you can upgrade to for free from its producer. On my SAP system it is activated by going to a profiles icon on the toolbar and clicking on the GuiXT item to check mark it.

Once activated you can move and resize groups. Add, delete and reposition input fields, check boxes, pushbuttons and more. You can add radio buttons which can be used to fill out multiple fields with data that varies with each button.

I have completely remodeled the screens used by my maintenance staff to give them a clean and easy to use tool to get their daily work assignments and to confirm the complete work for the day. The best advantage of this tool is that it has reduced the time it takes to train a new employee to SAP to literally minutes.

If you are serious about wanting to change screens then you need to use this tool

Hi Steven,

Thanks for your reply.

Is GuiXT a transaction code?

I do not have profiles icon on toolbar.

Is there any other way to activate GuiXT?

Pratibha,

GuiXT is not a transaction code. Look on your standard SAP toolbar for a push button that when you hover your mouse over it "Customizing of Local Layout" appears. This should be the right most button on the bar. Otherwise look under the system drop down for the same label. If you have this button push it and chose "Activate GuiXT".

The company that produces this add on is Synactive. Go to their Web site to obtain the help file download as it does not ship with it. You can also obtain the latest version - Q 3 3 from their.
