Hello,
We can have shipping type defined in delivery (thru exits since it does not appear automatically or we can select manually in outbound deliveries).
Shipping types can also be defined while creating routes . I have three questions
1) If the shipping type is 20(rail) in the route A. So is the shipping type 20 auto proposed from the route A determined in delivery ?. Can we have shipping type changed to 10 (truck ) in our delivery documement which has route A ?
2) Can we have more than one route in the shipment document ? Is it possible ?
3) we can select deliveries to be included in shipment document based on shipping type in the search crtieria for deliveries. If we use shipping type 20 (rail) in serach criteria, it is possible that we have many different routes with that shipping types (in route definition ). So in that case system will create one shipment document for one route ?
regards
Pamela
Hi,
1. If while configuring a route the shipping type used is 20 then whenever you create a shipment document with that route system will always propose shipping type as 20. There is no way of bringing a different shipping type for the same route.
2. You cannot have more than one route in a shipment document.
3. If you want to group deliveries and club into one shipment document then I think you should take route or any other parameter as a grouping criteria.

Vivek

Hi,
"If the shipping type is 20(rail) in the route A. So is the shipping type 20 auto proposed from the route A determined in delivery ?."
Well, my question would be: did you try? At least when I tried it did not take the shipping type from the route, neither to the SO item, nor to the delivery. Don't think this is in the standard.
"Can we have shipping type changed to 10 (truck ) in our delivery documement which has route A ?"
What do you mean with "changed". Well, it is not filled, so of course you can overwrite it.
"2) Can we have more than one route in the shipment document ? Is it possible ?"
There is just one field in the shipment document for route, so the first answer is no. And there is no route automatically in the shipment anyway, only if unique in the deliveries and if you use a copying routine.
"3) we can select deliveries to be included in shipment document based on shipping type in the search crtieria for deliveries. If we use shipping type 20 (rail) in serach criteria, it is possible that we have many different routes with that shipping types (in route definition ). So in that case system will create one shipment document for one route ?"
Well, we found out that the shipping type is not taken over from the route anyway, so the automatic answer should be "no". If you want to split by route, you have to use it as a "grouping criteria" (means: group by route, which effectively makes a split by route).
