Hi,

I agree with Swanand about standard process.

Having said that, I would advice to you to play around with Copy Controls > Sales Document to Sales Document at Item Category level there is a provision to use a check box which says - Update Document Flow.

Check if that could serve your purpose.

Swanand:

In some cases say for example, you may have a scenario where you just want to copy a Sales Order into another one only to avoid creating an order with say 100 line items a simple copy from one sales order to another will help. There you may not want the Original Sales Order to reflect in the document flow.

Thanks.

Dear SAP Explorer,

I had the same idea as you, copy controls ---> TA to TA, item category TAN to TAN.

However, the flag for update document flow is not set there.

Hi,

I am not having SAP System in front of me. I believe it is in one of them in Copy Controls:

  • Header Document Type to Header Document Type
  • Item Category Type to Item Category Type
  • Schedule Line Type to Schedule Line Type

Thanks.

Hallo Andreas,

Looks like that's not possible. You might want to check this link - http://scn.sap.com/thread/1716737.

hello,

You can copy a sales order, not understanding what you mean by not  showing the original document in the document flow. The document flow is a standard functionality of SAP and it shows the documents linked to each other, like PO to GR to Invoice etc.

best regards,

swanand

Thank you for your anwer.

Maybe I should have been more precise in my question.

Of course, I know that I can copy sales (e.g. create with reference), but this is what I do not want. I have several sales orders, all with the same items and quantities, but for different shops.

So far the orders were created with reference to the first order.

However, the problem is that I cannot assign the copied orders to a contract anymore. When I assign an order to a contract, the contract becomes the preceeding document in the document flow. As this place is already "taken" by my first order that I copied, I cannot assign the other orders any longer.

Hope now it is easier to understand what I need.
