ShopOrder number disappearing after serialize

Hi,

We have random disappearing of ShopOrder from SFCs after serializing. Those SFCs that "lose" ShopOrder are not visible in SFC report either.

In activity log ShopOrder is visible on serialization START and SERIALIZE but not from COMPLETE forward. any operation after that does not have the ShopOrder.

SAP ME version we use is 6.0.4.7.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour?

This is causing us problems because we are reporting manufactured quantities to ERP based on ShopOrder. Now the last steps of routing does not have ShopOrder information on some SFCs.

Some more information. All the SFCs are serialized using XML-messaging.

Found out that this has happened with SAP ME 5.2 also. Just noticed it now when moved to 6.0 recently.

Hi Petri,

Could you re-test the scenario using web service requests instead of xml-messaging? Does the issue reoccur?

If it is indeed sporadic problem, I would suggest that you open support message and provide connection to your system for SAP Support.

We had an issue reported recently that could be the same as yours. When shop order update request with major change comes from ERP the SO is put on hold and for some reason SHOP_ORDER_SFC records are dropped for this SO. Therefore the SFCs become kinda orphaned. The issue is currently worked by development.
