Batch field in service confirmation

Hi,

We are on CRM 7.0 / ECC 6.0 and want to start working with a service scenario which allows booking off spare parts on a specific batch.

There are 2 ways of material consumption:

- Customer consignment consumption:

The spare parts are ordered on a service order. Once released (and replicated in ECC), logistics will create a delivery where they will manually define the batch number (each batch number represents a color) and the parts will be directly shipped to the customer.

A second line for the same material is on the service order and will be copied (on selection) to the confirmation where it serves only for material consumption from customer consignment.

- (Car) stock consumption:

The most frequently used parts are available in the van (separate storage location) of the service engineer. There is also a small local stock in each country from which they can take the part they need for the intervention. It is also possible to take a part of a colleague's van. In all these cases, the parts are not noted down on the service order. They are only put on the confirmation for consumption. The engineer can choose the storage location from which the material should be booked off.

Our requirement is to allow the engineers in both cases to indicate on the confirmation the batch from which they consumed and to have the system automatically book off inventory from the correct batch.

I have been reading and searching on OSS and fora and it seems there is no batch scenario for service. I couldn't find a real solution either.

So my question is twofold:

- Customer consignment: how can we make sure (BADI?) that the batch determined during delivery is replicated to the service order shipment line? Is there a way to automatically copy this batch number to the related consumption line on the service order?

- Car stock: How to achieve that batch is automatically booked off when setting confirmation to complete? Can we do identically to the way it is done for booking off on storage location level?

Can you kindly share the details , on how to address the requirement mentioined by you. I have same client requirement for Car stock.
