u2lcom.dll is missing

Hello,

I use crystal reports 8.5 to print labels from third party app.

Now I'm in a middle of migration to CR XI process and I came to problem with 2D barcodes.

I use IDAutomation_DataMatrixWindowsFontEncoder and IDAutomation_CrystalUFL. On CR8.5 this works perfect. Now on CRXI I get below error when the print is fired by application:

datacom.crystaldecisions.reports.formulas.FormulaException$MissingUFL:u2lcom.dll that implements this function is missing.

I found this dll in below folders:

C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Crystal Reports 11.5

C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Common\3.5\bin

C:\WINDOWS\system32

server has Windows 2003 32 bit. Crystal version - 11.5.10.1263.

Please advise what could be the problem.

Hi,

Most probably, you would need to ship the missing UFLs to the new environment and register them on the server machine. THis could also be a compatibility issue of the UFL and the CR runtime dll's. Please check the compatibility matrix of Crystal Reports / your App / the IdAutomation DLLs.

The problem was on the IDAutomotion DLL. I purchased upgrade (that was designed for CR XI) and it works fine since then.
