Hello All
I have looked into several posts regarding the direct input method: 0490 of LSMW used to create General TL, but the problems I am facing are not explained in any of the posts. Its the first time I am using this method to create a General TL.I have never created two sheets of data at header and item level and used in lsmw. So need help to build the flat file and assign the files.
In the event of defining the steps I am confused with how to create a flat file for uploading as I have header data in one sheet and operation data in another sheet, As far as I know I should be using "multiple structure"
I have attached the excel sheets with fields and data records. Can some one help me build the flat file for uploading as multiple source structure.
Attached steps of LSMW:
hi
In step Specify file you need to create two files and while assigning you need to do the same for header and operation.
can you specify what exact problem you are facing. as your screen shot is not having any problem

U mean to say I have to create two separate flat files for each sheet in excel workbook, one for header and one for operation. Accordingly I created two files, "File#1 and File# 2". In specify files I have selected "MULTIPLE SOURCE STRUCTURE" for each file in specify file. While assign file system gives below message:
When I try to read data, below error is displayed:
Any issues in this steps?
As per your advice, created the files and run lsmw. When in step: Read data, the files are read but all records are not written specially from the Operation file as I have operations 10,20,30 ,40 etc. only operation 10 is written. Please tell me what is wrong and how can I have all operations written.
Attached screen shot:
The Excel sheet for uploading data is attached.
