There is a requirement to do Inter-company matching and reconciliation before doing the IC elimination & consolidation. I am thinking of having 2 models one for ICMATCHING (periodic) and another one for legal model for consolidation (YTD). The model ICMATCHING will have only current period data and the consolidation model will have YTD data. So that I can just do the IC matching process on the ICMATCHING model for generating reports only. Then I will do IC Elimination using automatic adjustments followed by consolidation on the legal model. No plans to transfer reconciliations data from ICMATCHING model to Legal model before doing IC elimnation and consolidation as I am doing the automatic adjustments on the legal model directly.

Is this the right approach? Any comment is appreciated.
