Supplier transfer from ROS to ECC

Former Member

Dear Experts,

We are planning to implement SAP SRM 702, ECC 6 EHP 6 (Classic) with ROS as a separate client with in SRM. We are not going to use SUS system, so we will not be activating business function SRM_SUCO_1. Activating this will enable the approved BP transfer from SRM SUS to ECC as standard, but as I said we don't have SUS.

The main requirement is to transfer the approved supplier from ROS to ECC system. This requires further questions to be analyzed which are:

  1. This is not a standard feature. Should we connect SAP ECC and ROS using PI to transfer the    approved Business Partner to SAP ECC to create Vendor Master?
  2. Will the data is sufficient to create a complete VMR in SAP ECC.
  3. Can we use BBPGETVD report to transfer the VMR from ECC to SRM?
  4. I understand the ROS is a copy of SRM maintained as a different client (as one option) Will that enable me to approval workflow when I am approving the business partner before manually transferring the same to SAP ECC system?

I have looked at relevant threads but did not get much inputs. Please let me know if anyone has a clue about it.

Thanks,

Krishna

Hi Krishna,

1. in order to use the standard functionality of ROS to ECC transfer, you need to enable SRM_SUCO_1 and customizing switch SRM_701_SUCO_SUP_REG. This will provide you the possibility to transfer the registered supplier directly to ECC. SUS is not needed to be configured for this to work.

2. the supplier data sent from ROS to ECC will create a vendor master record, but it has certain limitation. probably manual editing of the vendor data is required

3. yes

4. there is no approval workflow in ROS

Hi Zolton,

1. SRM_SUCO_1 and customizing switch SRM_701_SUCO_SUP_REG are activated in SRM 7.02

2. Potential Supplier is accepted and is able to to transferred to Back end.

3. The transfer status is in processing, but  Vendor master Idoc is not created in backend system.

Please advise whether PI is required for transfer of  Supplier from ROS to  MM  (  SUS is not used ).

If PI is not required, what should be the system type in system landscape

Thanks
