Vacancy status Vs Holder of position

How do I handle

(1) In PPOME the System allows me to mark a position as vacant even though there might be a holder related to it

(2) The position will be vacant in 2 months and I want to run the Recr procedure today. How do I manage to view the vacancy in question as from today?

Hi

Ideally once the position is filled by the person it will be marked as Filled in IT1007  and marked as historic, which means it cannot be further change via PPOME or PP01.

THen once the employee leave the position you can mark the position vacant on a day of seperation.

As far as starting the recruitment for the position is considere we can start the recruitment for further vacant positons also.

But the positon should me marked as vacant with a start date in IT1007 so that u can assign a person from that day onwards.

hi Ramesh G and thanks for your reply.

But my question has to do with the fact that the System allows me to set the position as vacant even though there is a holder on it so there is no direct link really between the two. Can I set a warning message so that the user can be informed likewise when this happens?

Then my 2nd question has to do with when I want to start the Recruitment procedure on the vacancy before the date it is set as vacant.
