Goods Receipt to Fixed Bins with no TO or confirmation

Hi All

I have searched for my query but have not found any suitable results.

We have successfully set up a supply of stock from an alternative plant to a plant where we have fixed bins for materials.

My question is, following the MIGO goods receipts can the stocks be posted direct in to the fixed bins and confirmed instead of processing the TR in the background (LB10) and then confirming (LT12)

We also have other materials being goods receipted in to the plant that do not have fixed bins if this complicates matters

I'm sure that it's something to do with defining the movement type 101 with the interim type of 902 but any help would be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Darren

Hi Darren,

there is a possibility...

You can use the "special movement indicator" in the material master (WM view) to control such a "direct movement". With the special movement indicator you find from your reference movement type a new WM movement type which shows the "from" storage type of the fixed bin storage type (important: not the "to" storage type) and the flag "fixed bin". And of course you have to maintain the fixed bin for your material (ah, you should have that anyway).

So:

- create new WM movement type with source storage type 005 (if this is the storage type you use) and the flag "fixed bin"

- Create a new special movement indicator

- create an entry reference movement type - special movement indicator = new WM movement type - and this entry has NO transfer requirement!

- maintain the special movement indicator in your materials.

Easy exercise 😉

Hi Juergen

Thank you for the straight forward response.

I have set up all except the part where you wrote:

create an entry reference movement type - special movement indicator = new WM movement type - and this entry has NO transfer requirement!

Could you please supply the SPRO route?

LE-->WM--> but where to now

Sorry for the simple ask

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Just wanted to let you know that if you use special movement indicator, the system nither creates TR nor TO, the quantity is directly posted to the fixed bin defined in the new movement type.

Refer below link for your information,

A little bit of searching should always be .

Just remember that no TR shall get created, so set the entry for this field accordingly.

It is not automatically, just because you use a special movement indicator. But otherwise the link given above is good, describes it all.
