ABAP stack as IdP for SAP HANA Cloud?

Hi,

when a customer has only a ABAP Stack and no JAVA Stack, can he somehow use the ABAP Stack as an IdP for SAP HANA Cloud?

AFAIK NetWeaver SSO needs the JAVA Stack....

Thanks,

Wolfgang

Wolfgang, the ABAP Server can act as Service Provider but not as an Identity Provider.

NW Identity Management is an Identity Provider. Customers can of course use their own 3rd party SAML IDP (e.g. MS ADFS)

You can find further information here:

    Hi Wolfgang,

Have you had a look at the SMP Cloud edition? You can connect to the SCC (using the on premise option in the authentication) and authenticate through ICF on your ABAP stack.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for. I have written some blogs about how to use the REST API to do the on-boarding and authentication.
