Unable to recieve the Inbound Container from the backend...

Hi All,

I am calling a function in the backend using the generic synchronisation method. The function in the backend is getting executed but I am not able to recieve the container from the server. The application takes too much time to execute the SyncManager.syncWithBackend statement but still returns without any result.

Can any body check this out??

Thank You.

    Hi Prakash,

Could you please describe your development environment, or your system landscape (WAS/Client sp level)?

Have you checked the worklist monitor (merep_mon) and looked at the logs?

Is this a custom Generic Sync application?

Could you display the trace file with trace level "Debug" set?

If you answer these questions it may speed up the support you receive.

    Thanks,

    Wael

Actually, the SyncManager.syncWithBackend() function doesn't return any containers.

When you construct an outbound container, you use a registered (by you) class. This class is an "Container receiver". This class implements <i>InboundProcessor</i> interface. When an inbound container is being received on the mobile device, the method <i>process()</i> is being executed. There you process the answer.

Take a look on the generic sync example in DeveloperStudio's help: <i>SAP Mobile Development Kit->Application Development->Synchronization->Generic Synchronization->Example first steps</i>

    Cheers,

    Todor

    Hi,

May I request you to tell me the app vesion and the MI version u r using.

I would request you to do the following:

    1. Use VisibilityType.SHARED in application

    2. If u have performed some transactions, please use a commit() by BeanDatabaseImpl before sm.synchronizeWithBackend(); as this is a must.

Please check this and let me know

    Thanks and regards
