Hi,
We have created allocation structure and in Settlement Assignment we have given Primary and secondary cost element range.
For Settlement cost element we have mapped the Primary cost element (with cost element categories "1") 7611101 instead of secondary cost element against Receiving category CTR (Cost center). We have created corresponding GL7611101 also for primary cost element. While setteling though CJ88 from WBS to CTR, FI positing is not generate.
My concern is since Settlement cost element is Primary cost element (with cost element categories "1"), the GL 7611101 should have value in FI but the same is not happing while doing the settlement through CJ88. Plese find attachment for screen shot.
Is system behave in correct way? Any exception is there for primary cost element would not update FI?
Your valuable input in this regards highly appreciated and awarded accordingly.
With regards,
V.Krish
Hello Krishna,
Settlement between WBS and cost center don't generate a FI document... because there is not FI object involved.

Hello,
From Finance point of view move the cost between a WBS and cost center is not important and it is not needed to be registered.
This is idependent of settlement cost element is primary or secondary , if you don't have a FI object the system wouldn't create a FI document.
Not sure if it is clear...
Regards
Hi Krishna Moorthy,
you are doing settlement to cost center, which is a co object. for internal settlement between cost objects i.e WBS and cost center then cost element category should be '21' as per standard.
