Ideal scaling for BO 4.0 Server

I am have Windows 2008 r2 Server on a box with 24gb of ram with about 300 users. I have followed the configs for sso and everything works perfectly. My challenge is the performance of the reports. They take took too long to refresh is this a problem with my server or the connection to the database? I did not experience this in BOXI. Any Suggestions? Should I create a cluster? Is there any documentation on an Ideal cluster?

My other issue on my migrated schedules from BOXI, Is it possible to just make these work straight away from XI without chnaging anything after the migration?

I also havent changed my all my universes to UNXs could that cause problems
