Why is only the last dimension clickable in a crosstab?

When I have a crosstab component with multiple dimensions, only the last dimension (column closest to the first measure) is clickable? Also only this last dimension and the measures get the alternating row colors. How to enable all columns to be clickable? This defeats the drilldown option from crosstab.

Is this because as we go from left to right, the data is more detailed
