Solman Diagnostic agent

Hi,

We are configurating solution Manger 7.1 and could see Diagnostic agent status in red,

Could you please throw some light what steps need to be take to troubleshoot it

Hi Uday

Kindly check in Agent Admin page whether SMD agent is connecting to Solution Manager or not .

If it not connect kindly re-connect it by executing below command as per the page and restart the SMD agent

smdsetup managingconf hostname:"sapms://<fqn>" port:"<J2EE MS HTTP Port>" [optional user:"<...>" pwd:"<...>"]

Switch to edit mode and click in butron Assign, then Assign Agent to correspondant host and save

To build on what stated, you should start on the host tab and manage the hosts before you move on to managing the <SID>.  If you will have to repeat steps due to mis-configured extractors/jobs/etc.

Hi,

I had to run that command with smdadm which worked fine later,I am able to see the system in SMD agent administration,agent tab but it status is not connected,I tried to restart it couple of times,but no success

Check logs for errors in SMDAgent/log directory: SMDSystem.X.log, SMDAgentApplication.X.log (check last).

Server name is not reflected for the SMD agent. Please execute the command for changeserver name and restart the agent .

Hi Bala,

Seems like we have issue with SMDagent it self,when I check the agent status its yellow and pointing to differenct JVM version

The files which it is looking doesn't exist there

Original JVM is pointing to JVM Version 1.4,but not sure whyJVM 1.6 came to the picture

Is there a way we can point it to look for JVM 1.4,below is the env for smdadm user
