PRT Equipment category

Dear Gurus

I have a stupid doubt on PRT equipments when PRT equipments are created by default category (P/Q) & if we create an equipment with category say (M) and then we add PRT tab in this will it be the same like default category P/Q ? or there will be any difference?

Please clear my doubt
