Hi folks,
Can anyone tell me what is the hot topic to develop for my thesis based on BI?
Please help me to choose the right one.
Looking forward to hearing from you guys.
Thank you!
Hi,
How about SAP BW on HANA.
Check the below link for more insight on the same.
Might be helpful and useful.

AL

Hi AL,
I think this is so heavy for me since I don't have deep exposure to both technologies.
But then, it doesn't mean that I won't have hands on.
I will have a look at that and if ever there are some questions I will come back to you for further explanation.
Once again, thank you so much for your quick and helpful reply.
Best regards,
Amédé
How about the value add for companies of BI including the impact of improvements )?) to back-end such as SAP HANA. The SAP Business Intelligence Suite includes many different services to meet the many components of delivering BI. Your research will included alternative providers of this technology and the pros and cons on each. All with a focus on how all this technology adds to the bottom line (or other corporate objectives).
Hi there - no particular hypothesis. There are so many components that could be focussed on, however my interest is in an integrated picture from a management perspective from back-end to front-end and especially translating the technology into increased value for the organization. You'd still have to deal with the technology but from a management and profitability (and other management objectives) perspective. I presume you are talking a master thesis. In my reading about modern BI and it's application there is an emphasis on technology that needs to be extrapolated into an exploration of forecasted value for the company i.e. better and faster decisions - what could that mean.
Hi Kerry,
Thank you so much for your support.
This topic means a lot to me and gives me a big picture of what I can focus on and deliver something that is out of commun topics or what people used to see nowadays about BI.
I was also thinking about the impact of in-memory technology on BI but I don't have any real project that I am involved into and facing situations in real time helping me to explain facts with core arguments. That's what I am afraid of otherwise I know this side of BI.
What do you think about that?
Regards,
Amédé
There is oodles of information on the net, including videos from SAP, documents and analysts. After research you should be able to develop a hypothesis. My personal thought is to make it usable by businesses; that is, where you become a guru and can translate your thesis into money making opportunity for yourself and profit seeking companies.. I'm talking knowing little about your purpose and what is valuable to you. Suggest you discuss with your advisor. Cheers and good luck. Kerry
