Main Hierarchy Change - Caching

Hi SAP,

when changing the main hierarchy in SAP MDM, e.g. replicating new characteristics or characteristic values from CRM, and assigning catalog products to the new char values the web channel application displays an error message. The reason seems to be that WCEM caches the hierarchy and therefore can't resolve char value assignments from products during runtime. This behavior can be seen in WCEM 2.0 and 3.0.

A restart of the application server seems to resolve the issue, nevertheless a simple restart of the custom WCB and Lean Application or catalog DPU doesn't. Can you advise which parts of the application need to be restarted in order to clear the cache?
