Sales Order: In completion Log for condition Pricing Procedure.

Former Member

Hi 2 All,

Please provide your valuable inputs for the below.

We have multiple Sales Areas for One pricing procedure.

Now I have one requirement. and its statistical only

1) For one sales area  Business want one condition to be created,  without that condition fulfilled SO cannot processed.

what i am thinking to go in completion log.

But My concern is

1) If create condition & assign in Pricing Procedure, make it mandatory,.... is it apply's to all other Sales areas. if yes, then how to achieve this.

2) If in completion log need to be created for that Sales area (the same pricing procedure for other sales areas also), how to achieve this.

please let us know.

Thanks.

Did you check to apply requirement? As per my understanding, you can get this by using requirement.

Use Requirement at subtotal or Gross price level where you add all price instead of conction type level.

Copy this condtion type value in one of subtotal. And then validate that this condtion type value is coming in that subtotal or not via requirement.

In case there is already any requirement then add addtional code before the code of old requirement which will check sales area and particular condtion type value.

Hi Shams,

You can achive this using a pricing requirement to be assigned for the pricing condition type in pricing procedure (V/08) and cannot be achieved by incompletion.

Create a ztable capturing the saes org, distribution channel and division fields.

Develop a logic for the pricing requirement as follows. If the sales area of the sales order is what is present in the Ztable evaluate the condition type else neglect the condition type.

Now assign this pricing routine reqirement in pricing procedure for the condition type.

Hope this explains.

hi,

maintian an item category for perticular one sales area  Business want and create one pricng condition under that item category.

if you select that item category then particular pricing condition will heat in sales order as mandatory condition.

you can also take help from below link:

Shams,

If possible, create a new pricing procedure (a copy of the original) and determine it only for this particular sales area.

In the new procedure, you can set this condition type as mandatory / required.

Hi Shams Mohd!

The best you can do is to copy the current pricing procedure and make a new one  and assign that condition type to this pricing procedure and make it mandatory, now you just assign this pricing procedure to the desire sales area you want ( * because you have stated that you want this for a particular sales area).

This way it wont have effect on other document which belong to other sales area.

A M,

We both had the same suggestion

One quick question, while proposing to create a new procedure (be it pricing or account determination etc. etc.), like this requirement, has the client ever resisted the idea?

Thank you, in advance!

HI Shams,

I dont think you can fulfill this requirement using standard system so just go for development or else as said by others its better to go with  separate document type for both sales areas.

samba,

Why would you want to create new document types, if you want to determine different pricing procedures, this can be done because there are different sales areas (already mentioned).

You can go for new incompletion procedure and also new document type for that sales area and set the incompletion log to this document type.

G Lakshmipathi,

The requirement is to have the value of one pricing condition type in a sales order, which belongs to a particular sales area.

Can we achieve this by incompletion procedure?

E.g.

Field VBKD-ZTERM can be set in an incompletion procedure.

But what about PR00?

Hi,

I think nobody read my requirement... including you.

I clearly mentioned that this running business.... Just one condition i need to create in completion log...

and suggestion comes... that create New doc types... new Pricing procedures... ETC.,

Really, it seems either question not clear... Or, not understand..

I suggest before providing answer... read the question properly.

Again i am mentioning my requirement.

My question is very simple...

Doc type, Sales area, Item cat... and Pricing Procedure...etc are the same....

we are creating one condition.... that condition is STATISTICAL.....without fulfilling this condition user cannot save the Sales Order.

How to achieve this requirement...

Thanks.

Dear,

If that is the case ,why dont you want check the Field " Mandatory for that condition type in that Pricing Procedure " ( V/08 ) ,If you do that then obviously system can not save you sales order without that condition type .

We are creating one condition.... that condition is STATISTICAL.....without fulfilling this condition user cannot save the Sales Order.

Without fulfilling this condition means ,properly ,you didnt maintain condition record in VK11 with valid validity .If you do this then it can be fulfilled in sales order .

If you have any doubts let me know .

Thanks,

Mohammed,

Your requirement is that a new statistical condition type must be mandatory for some sales areas.

Now, (also you have commented), there is one common pricing procedure. If this condition type is made mandatory it would be applicable for ALL sales areas and business does NOT want that.

In the pricing procedure, for this condition type activate field Required (mandatory). Also, in requirement create a routine which check if the sales order is created for "the applicable" sales areas.

Thus for the applicable sales areas, it would not be possible to save the sales order without entering a value for this condition type.

For other sales areas, as the requirement would not be fulfilled, the condition type would not be mandatory, in the sales order.

Note: For creation of requirement you need the help of an ABAPer.

A custom table can also be created for the applicable sales areas. This is more of the design, after you have decided to go for "the requirement solution".

G Lakshmipathi,

The message behind the words* is a valuable one!

*I suggest before providing answer... read the question properly.

We as functional consultants have to clearly understand the requirement(s) and then address those.

For me, this direct approach by the OP, reiterated that - read and understand the client requirement before replying.

Even if we are doing free service, we can not encourage the tendency or behavior of replying without clear understanding (of the requirement).

Ofcourse, the OP could have been explicit that his client did not want to create a new pricing procedure, a new document type etc.

Sorry I have a second opinion on this.

Please try to understand the message of my post.  The message is you can express your thoughts in any way but being SCN is a global forum, you should control your language.  The tone what I had highlighted is not in the right sense.  Any OP can only express their views in a polite manner and should not be dictating.

Yes quite true but you should also accept that just because you understands OP's query clearly, everbody should understand.  If some member dont understand clearly, it is OP's duty (whoever may be) to explain again.

Yes I totally agree but self as a Moderator has to follow this, then I would have locked many threads but it is not the intention of this forum.

Hi,

If I have understood your requirement correctly, then you can go for two different condition types (OR introduce one additional Condition Type) and have your condition record maintained for the condition types specific to the respective sales area.

That means Condition Type I would appear only for the Sales Area I.

& Condition Type II would appear only for the Sales Area II.

Still if your client insists to go for only one condition type for both the sales areas then you might have to go for Routines to have logic that the "Condition is If the sales area is I then the condition should be mandatory, Else Not mandatory".
