Material Master Creation for Oil & Gas

Former Member

Dear Friends!

We are working day & night in an Oil & Gas project.

We are currently in the data migration phase, where we are creating the materials into the ECC box.

I am using the Idoc OILMAT05 to create the material master; the material master is getting successfully created however I can see that there are some minors issues!

1. The Additional Units of Measure is not getting updated; we have the data in the input file.

We want these data to be updated as shown in the screen shot using the idoc methodology!

2. The OIL-specific view is not getting created; we have the data in the input file.

Please see the screen-shot!

Any ideas on these issues!

Regards

Tanmoy

Hello Jurgen!

I am sharing the file that is the input to the LSMW Idoc.

Please note that the data from the ZE1MARMM is not getting updated into the Material Master.

is there any specific reason why you have a / in MSGFN_MARM? Try it with 005

Hello Jurgen!

Don't you think '009' will be more relevant?

003 Delete: Message contains objects to be deleted

004 Change: Message contains changes

005 Replace: This message replaces previous messages

009 Original: First message for process

023 Wait/Adjust: Data should not be imported

018 Resend

I am used to load my data with 005

I know it is overwriting, but it is what I want.

And if nothing is present, then it still creates the data.

Ok!

Well it seems that the error is with : 'The alternative units of measure are inconsistent'; i.e. I have entered wrong conversion factors for the alternative units of measure.

try it manually.

such error message is even coming online.

see what SAP does when such message was issued:

after you hit enter SAP automatically adjusts the entered values.

then use those values for your upload

Hello Jurgen;

I was away from this thread for some time now. Well the isssue is partially solved.

I am using the following values proposed by SAP; Please see the table given below:

XAun<=>YBun
1BB6<=>1BB6
87.602L<=>551BB6
87.602L15<=>551BB6
12.64KG<=>100BB6
6.87M15<=>43.211BB6
6.87M3<=>43.211BB6
79TO<=>625BB6

Please note that 12.64 KG <=> 100 BB6 is working fine, in fact when we see the newly created material using MM03; the value taken by SAP is 13 KG instead of 12.64 KG.

Well for the rest of the conversion values in the table above; it is going to errors & saying -

The alternative units of measure are inconsistent!

Hello Jurgen!

First of all a Many Thanks to you for your great support.

I am sharing the final results & closing the thread.

Please see the table below for conversions of Alternate UOM:

MEINH_MARMUMREZUMRENMESUBGEWEI_MARM
L55187602BB6KG
L1555187602BB6KG
KG10012.640BB6KG
M15432116870BB6KG
KG10012.640BB6KG
L55187602BB6KG
L1555187602BB6KG
M15432116870BB6KG

Moreover;

Incase we want to trouble-shhot; we can put a break-point at the following source:

Program = SAPLMGD1; Include = EAN_UCC_ROUTINES

The function module -

EAN150_MARM_CHECK_CONSISTENCY

- It corrects the values for Alternate UOM

Many Thanks

Tanmoy
