HTTP Adapter with SSL/HTTPS

Hi,

doese anyone have an idea how to use the http-Adapter with SSL in both direction.

receive data:

We have imported the client certificate from the customer via STRUST. The sender is using the normal URL from Http-Adapter with https in front. Is this all or do we have to configure additional things ?

send data:

We created com-channel with type http-Adapter but where can we add the information to use https instead of http ?

where can we specify the certificate that should be used ?

Regards Bernd

Hello Bernd,

please use within your Communication Channel as Addressing type --> HTTP Destination.

You have to maintain this HTTP_DESTINATION in SM59 (Typ G). Beside the general url etc. settings, check Logon/Security for usage of SSL and Client certificate.

Prerequisite is a imported (STRUST) client certificate.

Bernd we are trying to do the same thing only with the soap adapter. I'm convinced that no one really knows how to do it. We can't even find an SAP CONSULTANT that has done it .. at any cost!

If you hear anything good .. please let me know - my email is andrew.alpaugh@bmwmc.com

I think the nightmare is coming in because when SAP bought the j2ee ( application server ) they never really have integrated it so it's very confusing if the settings need to be done on the ABAP side or the J2EE side via visual administrator. In addition most Basis guys are only experienced in the ABAP side and not the J2EE.
