    Hi,

The KBA 1698626 - BI 4.0: Why has the 'Preferences' tab in BI Launchpad disappeared for everyone? shows the right to hide BI LaunchPad preferences for all users.

    Regards,

    Akram.

    • Hi Sandeep,

You can set advanced preferences like Webi preferences globally using a script which is attached in following KB article which was suggested by Mani.

    Hi Sandeep

You can also have a look at the new functionality in BI 4.1 that gives an administrator more control over the Webi user interface in determining which components a user can view and access.

    http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/sbo41/en/sbo41_whats_new_en.pdf (section

2.12.2 Customizable Web Intelligence application interface (New))

    For Example:

    • You can hide the design and data buttons
    • You can hide the save button
    • etc...

    Regards

    Derek
