Hi,
I am facing an error -
1. I have created a inspection type Z1 with reference to 04.
2. I have created separate number range profile and assigned in "Inspection type origin" for Z1
3. I have assigned inspection type Z1 in material master
4. Now I create a production order and confirmed the same but system is posting the stock in unrestricted.
System is not creating an inspection lot for the material.
Please help and advise what setting I am missing.
Regards,
RP Jaiswal
Hi,
Check both preferred inspection type and active in the QM view if material master for inspection type Z1.
Hope it helps you.

Dear
Check you have accurately created the inspection type. (with accurate usage) You need to define default values for inspection type as well.
Make sure you have marked active tick box for the relevant inspection type in material master QM view.

Hello Rampreet,
To create new inspection type you need to follow:
1.You can assign insp type in material master without Below settings.
create insp type.
Maintain Inspection Lot Origins and Assign Inspection Types: here assign your inspection type Z1 under 04 04 001 Q 4 Goods Receipt from Production>click on 2.“Inspection types for the origin”>and create new entries with next available no.
3.Define Default Values for Inspection Type
4.Need to maintain no ranges for insp lot created in Maintain Number Ranges
5.Movement Type/Update Control/Inspection Lot Origin: here you need to specify origin(in which you assigned your Z1 in above steps) for respective mvt >Movement indicator-“F Goods movement for production order”
6.If you want than can specify exclusively your insp type here in “Maintain Parameters for Production Order Type” or leave it blank.
other master data settings for code group/selected set and plan required.

Hi,
Check at material level, is the inspection type activated? Also, in the production order, see if in the 'goods received' view, at 'stock type', you have x = quality inspection!

Dear Rampreet
To which lot origin you have assigned inspection type Z1. Assign inspection type to lot oring 04. and at the same time give number range number to lot origin 04 if you want new series for that.
