I just tried this out and it works:

1. Log into the Query Designer in the language you want to translate into.

2. Change the description of each of the query elements into the desired language.

3. Save.

That's it. When the user logs in to Analyzer in the foreign language, the changed description will show up.

This of course applies to query-specific elements like structure, formula, selection. To change the InfoObject description into foreign language, the method is similar: log into SAP GUI in the foreign language. Go to RSD1 and change the description of the InfoObjects. Save and voila.

Hi Tina,

Any luck with the translation? we are in a similar situation with translation of queries and infoobjects.

Please reply if you have any information.

I'm having the same problem. I cannot make translations with se63 and Translate in RSA1. I've followed the How to document that explains how to translate in BW but with no results. Returns me the message "No Objects Selected" in the object list tab (se63).

You're not alone in ****...

I experienced exactly the same problem.

I followed the How To Guide, SAP online help, SAP notes.

Always I get "No objects selected"! I could not figure out what is missing...

Does anyone know a workaround/solution/tip ?

Thxs.

Hi Tina,

You can translate the query itself in the Translation section of RSA1. Try and see if it helps.
