Hi,

In the attached Picture below, As it describes the two methods of on-premise data consumption  in the cloud portal.

Can anyone provide the detailed document regarding these methods.? &
In the first point specified  in the picture below .It says " 1. Consume EP 7.0/7.3 iViews and ABAP web application * " . What does this "EP 7.0/7.3 iViews" Mean . and does the term "ABAP Web Application" Refers to BSP or Web Dynpro application. ?

Any Help would be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,

Shiva

Hi Shiva,

Thanks for the comments and questions. We are about to upload a new overview deck to SCN with updated guidelines on how to connect the SAP HANA Cloud Portal with the on-premise landscape.

Let me share some of it now so the flow will be clear. You can connect the on-premise and leverage existing investments to be exposed in the cloud portal using the HANA Cloud platform connectivity services. The application developer should create a connectivity-enabled application by using data services based on rest APIs or gateway services (oDATA). The access to the on-premise is established by using the SAP Cloud Connector (SCC) which is a secured tunnel that creates a connection between the SAP HANA Cloud and your local on-premise network.

It is important to emphasize that the cloud application consume data and not the UI, meaning the UI layer should be developed as part of the application.

You can find detailed explanation on how to connect and configure this flow here:
