I commited and Activated Week 1 Unit 5 Hello World in HANA studio but I can not find my host name and port on AWS site. http://imdbhdb:8000 didn't work. Tried with public and private IP addresses also.

Thanks,

Vinit

Hi Vinit,

Did you add the port 8000 under Security Groups? if not go to Security Group and select your group, then click the Intboud tab, there you have to input the TCP port 8000.

Thanks you both Gentleman! It worked!

Now I am stuck at the next step!!

I get the SAP XS Engine page but when I put the hierarchy ....:8000/workshop/00/retrieveData.xsjs, it is prompting for username and password. I am not able to figure out where I can look for username and password on AWS site!

could you please help?

Regards,

Vinit

That's your database username and password - the same ones you put in the system entry in the HANA Studio to be able to connect to your HANA Server.  I'm not sure about the AWS Developer Center images, but I believe I read somewhere it was SYSTEM/manager.

Hi Vinit,

No, it will not work. You need to give its Elastic IP. You can find your Elastic IP by going to the EC2 management console > Network & Security > Elastic IP.

Make sure the Elastic IP is associated to your instance, also make sure port 8000 is open in your network too.
