Performance tuning in ECC

Dear All,

We have the ECC Production system in Windows-Oracle environment. We are offen facing performance issues also sometimes system is hung.I would like to verify the system parameters whether is tuned fine or not? Let me know what are the parameters need to be tuned in Prod system??

I would recommend you look up information on how to check the performance of a SAP system.

There is no short / correct answer to your question since you don't provide sufficient details. Please update the thread after you did an investigation yourself and have some findings.

Apologies for more than one post for same issue. Actually after post the first discussion , I didn't receive confirmation like " waiting for moderator approval" that's why I posted again.

Hi,

Don't Jump into Parameter tuning initially.

Do your initial & detailed checks of why System hangs.

for example, when System is slow check if you have any work process free or all are occupied, if you are unable to see it from SM50 then check from sapmmc. Check DB relevant things, since you say its Oracle check if Update Optimizer runs regularly. check CPU utilisation, check top contributor for high utilisation etc... and at the end of your analysis you will make out what parameters have to be changed.

Please generate early watch report and follow recommended settings as per EWR.

along with EWR,you can follow the below notes.

latest SAP kernel patches,Latest oracle SBP

oracle parameters adjustment as per Standard note - 1431798

Scheduling Background jobs as per Standard note -16083

avioding check point alert in alertlog- 79341

fine tuning ABAP Z reports...

First try to check and follow,later we will go to next level....
