Bom Is Recursive

Hi all,

I did have a BOM (say 'X') created with a parent material - 'A' and it's components say 'B' and 'C'. Since the bom for the header material 'A' is no longer reuqired i did set deletion flag, which obviously should deactive the Bom of Header Material 'A'. Now when i try creating a BOM (say 'Y' )for Material 'B' with 'C' and 'A' as components , i get an error saying 'BOM IS RECURSIVE'. what could be the possbile solution for to resolve this error.

Anyhow setting the Allow Recursiveness will do it for me but still why it throws an error even on deactivating the BOM 'X'.

PS: I am new to SAP-PP
